Interested in seeing the future? The monthly Sierra Club meeting scheduled for tomorrow could hold the knowledge you seek.
Tomorrow, Thursday, August 19, the Capital Sierra Club will have local experts of both greenway advocacy and cycling fame present on the topic, “Our Expanding Greenway System: Exciting New Developments!”
Vic Lebsock, Senior Greenway Planner, and Sig Hutchinson, a member of the Raleigh Bike and Pedestrian Commission, will present how everything is or will connect. From neighborhood segments to cross city routes to interstate connectors – if you have questions about the Triangle’s greenway system, this is the place to get your answers. This program is appropriate for anyone interested in greenways and cycling routes including Raleigh, Wake Forest, Knightdale, Clayton, Garner, Cary, Durham, the American Tobacco Trail, Mountains-to-Sea Trail, and the East Coast Greenway.
Held at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh on Wade Avenue, doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event runs from 7 – 8 p.m. A wine reception with the presenters is planned following the event.
