Best Bets by Bus 10/8-10/10

Whew!  This has felt like a long week and I’ve still got one more day to go! Luckily, there are some fun things to look forward to this weekend (pumpkins and corn mazes and music, oh my!).

Remember, we’ll show you the way, but please make sure when planning your trip to your destination that you’re on the right departure date and time.

FRIDAY OCTOBER 8

Location Event Transportation
Chapel Hill: Chapel Hill Museum Auction
Oct. 8, 6pm
Chapel Hill Museum
523 E. Franklin St
Chapel Hill, NC 27514
No cover charge.

Come check out some of the things that the Chapel Hill Museum has collected over the years, and if the price is right, take them home! Doors open at 6pm for registration and preview. The materials to be auctioned represent artifacts that the Museum acquired in support of both permanent collections and temporary exhibits, out-right gifts made without any provisions, and fine-foundations, such as oriental carpets, that were gifted to the Museum in its earliest years. While most of it has been deemed by area museum professionals ‘too random’ to join other established collections on our region’s history, these artifacts will enchant collectors of Chapel Hill memorabilia.Buffet, drink specials, and comfortable seating on the shady front porch and lawn.
