What can the Triangle do for Earth?

Skate, hop, bike, walk, carpool, bus, or pogo– just don’t drive alone– to Durham’s Central Park on Saturday, September 24 to take part in a worldwide rally to end dependence on fossil fuels.

350.org’s Moving Planet event hopes to raise awareness and give people ideas on what they can do to create a healthier and more sustainable world starting right here at home. Check here for all the details. There’ll be zumba, yoga,  and music as well as representatives from area groups. This all ages event promises to be fun and informative.

Wanna go but not sure how? There are three bike rides happening September 24th. Check this Cross Triangle Greenway blog for bike routes from Chapel Hill, Raleigh, and within Durham. Our friends at Transition Chapel Hill + Carrboro have also put together a great run down of transit options and are offering help with carpool coordination. If you want to take the bus, you can also use Google’s trip planner to figure out your route. If you’re craving some human interaction, give us a call at 485-RIDE.
