Kids use new skills on bike ride to Bull City Urban Market

Check out these great photos shared with us by the City of Durham’s Coordinated Public Transportation Scheme. On October 28, 2011, the group worked with kids from the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Durham to teach bike safety. Officers from Durham’s Bike Patrol and Crime Prevention Unit were there to provide instruction. The young cyclists were given awards for successfully completing the Bike Rodeo obstacle course. Best of all, they were able to put their knowledge to use by going on an escorted bike ride to the grand opening of the Bull City Open Market. Judging from all the smiles, this event was a success!
