Two Link Tuesday – Carless March and GoDurham Public Meeting

Happy Tuesday! It’s been three weeks since I started #CarlessMarch. Let me tell you, it hasn’t been without bumps in the road. Read on for this week’s update!

1. #CarlessMarch Week Three

samFull disclosure: I haven’t been able to stay completely car-free. Ugh. I hate saying that. However, I’ve been able to stick to it most when my friends and co-workers were sticklers.

For example, a co-worker invited me to an event, emphasizing that she could drive me. When I drove to work one day so I could pick up lunch, my department chastised me.  The moral of the story is, just ask. If you aren’t sure how to stay car-free, 1) ask for a ride, 2) check TransLoc for a route, or 3) consider why you even need to get in the car.

2. GoDurham Public Meetinggd2_line

Join us tomorrow night to lend your voice on service changes. Some possible changes include, a new proposed route, changes to Route 4, 12, 15, 16A, 16B, 2A, and extended service hours. You can also share your opinions online. Learn more here.
