Transit Thursday – Popular Destinations

TTransit Thursday (1)he Triangle is an awesome place – with great locations to eat, drink, shop, and work! The GoTransit bus system wants to make your life in the Triangle as simple as possible, by connecting you to where you need to go!

Here are popular destinations you may want to visit within the area on bus. If there’s some place you don’t see on here, be sure to use our Trip Planner!

RDU Airport

When in doubt, find your way to the Regional Transit Center in Durham or Moore Square Station in Raleigh and take Route 100 to the airport terminals.


Duke to UNC
The GoDurham Robertson Scholar Express (RSX) is explicitly for collaboration between the two universities. The bus runs weekdays and weekends, and from late August to early May. Another option is GoTriangle Route 400/405, which will take you into downtown Durham for baseball, entertainment, and the Amtrak Station.

NC State
Get to UNC by the Chapel Hill-Raleigh Express (CRX) and get to Duke via the Durham-Raleigh Express (DRX). By taking Route 100 to the Regional Transit Center, you have many options, including the airport, Chapel Hill via Route 800/805, or Durham via Route 700.

Local Towns

From GoRaleigh’s Moore Square Station you can visit the surrounding towns, such as Garner (Route 102), Apex (Route 305/311), Zebulon (ZWX), Knightdale (KRX), Wake Forest (WRX), and much more!


Local Malls
Get to Streets at Southpoint with GoTriangle Route 800 or GoDurham Route 5. Brier Creek Shopping Center is reachable from Durham Station with GoDruham’s Route 15 and North Pointe is on GoDurham’s Route 1.

American Tobacco Campus
Whether you’re going to catch a Bulls game, a show at DPAC, or dinner at the plethora of restaurants, you can get there from Chapel Hill via Route 400, Regional Transit Center via Route 700, or Raleigh via DRX.
