Celebrating Customer Service Week

logo_2016_finalIt’s National Customer Service Week and we thought it was about time we celebrate the amazing customer service associates who keep the GoTransit Regional Information Center running!

The GoTransit Regional Information Center provides a single source of information about public transportation services, ridesharing, and paratransit services throughout the Triangle at 919-485-RIDE (7433). The center serves GoTriangle, GoDurham, GoRaleigh, GoCary and the Town of Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill Transit). 

Associates in the customer service center do such things as answer 95% of all incoming customer calls within 30 seconds, provide courteous and accurate information to all calls presented, and forward all customer feedback to the designated staff of the appropriate agency within 24 hours.

Eulinda Gooden, who has been a Customer Service Associate for 3 years, enjoys her job because of the opportunity to work on specialized projects to enhance her skills and mindset as a person and as a leader. Her bubbly personality helps her talk to strangers all day and assist them in getting them to where they need to go.

Scarlett Guerrero, a Customer Service Associate of 2 years, likes that so many people depend on her to give information that helps them get to places, big and small. “Some are looking for ways to get to work, some are long time riders who want to explore a new side of town, and some are students at our local major universities trying to get to their classes on time,” says Guerrero.

The Customer Service department works together to help hundreds of people become familiar with the community’s transportation system. The call center is staffed between 7am-10pm Monday through Friday, 8am-8pm on Saturdays, and 8am-5pm on Sundays, closed only on Christmas Day. The center is fully-functional during adverse weather.
