On Wednesday, October 26, GoTriangle, RDU International, United Way, and WRAL partnered to fill a Storm Relief Bus with needed items for families affected by Hurricane Matthew. By 7pm that night, the three buses and two vans in Carter-Finley Stadium Lot were filled to the brim with canned goods and cleaning supplies for families affected by Hurricane Matthew.
Thanks to the generous Triangle community, the Storm Relief buses traveled into eastern North Carolina on Thursday, October 27, stopping in Nash, Edgecombe, Wilson, and Johnston counties. Items were supplied to the United Way of Tar River Region (Rocky Mount, NC), United Way Food Drive (Wilson, NC), and Partnership for Children and Boys and Girls Clubs of Johnston County (Selma, NC).
